We are so pleased that Arc Maths App has been named as a finalist for Educational App of the Year as part of the Bett awards 2021. The Bett awards “are a celebration of the inspiring creativity and innovation that can be found throughout technology for education.” The announcement was made at the end of Bett which is the world’s leading showcase of EdTech products and businesses. The exhibition normally runs over 3 days in January at the ExCel Centre in London, but we all had to get together online this year.
As part of our our our application, we were asked to demonstrate how Arc Maths App impacts learning and teaching, why it is innovative and engaging, and how it integrates into the classroom. The judges were also interested to know the major points of differentiation of Arc Maths, so we had a lot to tell them there!
The other finalists in the category are:
Edoki Academy – Montessori Preschool
ExploreLearning – ExploreLearning Reflex
GKR GAMES CO. – SumW0rdZ
Kaligo
Pearson Education – School Jam
Squirrel Learning – GoRead
Texthelp – WriQand in
As often happens, apps for primary school and early years are prevalent so we are delighted to be carrying the flag for the secondary sector. Maths is well represented across all categories with some interesting collaborations taking place within the sector. The winning app last year was Sir Linkalot, a wonderfully creative spelling resource for school children.
Of all the awards that exist in the EdTech sector, Bett, in our view, is the most prestigious. The winner will be announced at a dinner in June. We’re keeping our fingers crossed!
